Unique Properties
New beauty plastic surgery hospital is located in the core of Chengdu Financial City. Facing the strong development potential of Chengdu's medical aesthetics industry and severe industry competition pressure, J&A started from the beginning of design, from the operational level, and carried out the project through professional market analysis. The overall positioning. The main purpose of "medical beauty surnamed medical" is to ensure the professionalism of medical space. Therefore, in the design of the scheme, we strive to pursue the minimalism and regularity of the space; and use a large number of arched structures in the space to drive the indoor rhythm. The arch represents strength, but also has its softness. This is exactly the design concept we hope to express.

Production Technology
The project uses a large scale of terrazzo and GRG, so that more than half of the interior space, and fabrics of the whole project, such as the front desk, ceiling, column finishes, are completed by the factory and then transferred to the site for installation.
Design Challenge
From the beginning of the project, the diagonal steel beams inside the original building were the biggest obstacle to the design process. In consideration of the steel beams, and after trying different approaches, we finally wrapped the steel beams with a rational arc, so far, the complete rational arc quietly became the design element throughout the project. From the modeling with a sense of ritual sequence in the front hall, to the reading area in the salon that looks a bit like the flying buttress of Gothic architecture, to the French Windows in the interior of the consulting room with a hint of retro taste, and even the alcoves in the toilet for making up, the arc naturally exists on every inch of the skin of the project.
Project Duration
The project is finished in October 2020 in Chengdu, China.
Operation Flow
The flow of the space is based on the functions segregated by the various clinics, patient room, and operation rooms. The customers can follow the distinct circulation by the design elements within the space. And we dig strictly on the JCI standard in order to provide the best operation flow and relationships between each interior space.
Research
With a full analysis of similar competitive products and customers in the domestic medical beauty market, the style determined by us cannot simply be described as modern, European, Chinese or other similar words. This style should not only satisfy women's desire for beauty, but also respect male customers' desire for self-improvement. "Neutral" eventually became the style of the case, and this "style" was not a description of the design language, but a feedback to the user's needs. The soft-cut reception desk is heavy terrazzo and masculine deep blue; the light is mild and comfortable, but the corridor on the admission floor is heavily used in hard grey; Originally deep ink blue but infected with the gradient of the frosted glass screen. Style is a topic that our team has been neglecting. Because in our opinion, any style should conform to the user's inner expectation of the space. Style should cater to users, not putting the cart before the horse.
Inspiration
On this project, the inspiration should come from user needs, not metaphysical emotional sustenance. After researching the market, we found that the proportion of men and women in the medical beauty market will become more evenly amount in the future, so the inspiration was the gender neutral sensory experience. The arch is an excellent geometric shape that combines strength and softness. The gender orientation is entirely determined by the details and materials used in the arch. Thus the inspiration from the analysis led to the completion of the project.
