Residence for Home Chen Interior Design
The designer cleverly combined Japanese, modern and simple interior styles to increase richness while fulfilling the requirements. The dining table is one of the owner's collections, a wooden table, giving the residence a stronger characteristic while emitting a rustic and warm sense of nostalgia. Meanwhile, the hanging lights, long benches, and cabinets of the dining area have also shown the theme of wooden elements; the furnishings not only infused a unique vibe into the residence but also allowed the users to be soaked in the daylight every day in the future.

To vary the overall, a few touches of light-green colors can also be seen aside from the white main tonal to create vitality. Meanwhile, the mezzanine area with a height of 170 cm is specially designed using white wires, increasing transparency and safety while infusing a refreshing sense into the interior. Moreover, the mezzanine is set up with curtains; when opened, the space can be transformed into a guestroom from a lounge area. The designer has made well use of each space of the residence, giving the users more possibilities and flexibility in the future.

While white polished tiles are mainly used for decoration in this project, the area from the staircase to the mezzanine is paved with laminate flooring. The difference between the two is due to the materials characteristics and the areas conditions. The designer made this decision based on experience and the requirements of the owners to create the perfect living environment.
Since the location of the worship hall is carefully decided based on Feng Shui, the overall has to be planned and designed accordingly. For example, iron frames and aluminum-framed sliding doors are specially set up next to the worship hall to prevent smoke and smell from spreading out. This ingenuity was technically and practically challenging for the design team. Yet, in the end, the outcome increases transparency visually and prevents the air quality of the indoor from being affected.
The project finished in Taiwan.
The overall is equipped with a clear traffic flow, outstanding lighting conditions, an expansive spatial feeling, and high functionality with the hands of the designer. The residence is given a new definition of living while providing the users with a heartwarming atmosphere. From the worship hall, the living room, the dining room, the bedrooms to the mezzanine, each area is designed comprehensively; the overall is filled with Japanese and modern elements visually and functionally, allowing users to connect with the residence tightly and deeply.
Aside from fulfilling the client requirements regarding Feng Shui and creating a sense of transparency by bringing the daylight indoors, the designer has also combined white and light-green colors carefully to inject vitality into the residence. Furthermore, the overall is mainly decorated with white polished tiles to draw sufficient daylight while building a comforting and expansive spatial feeling. The house will be providing a relaxing environment for the family to enjoy their lives in the future.
The client wishes to have a residence filled with wooden elements and extraordinary lighting conditions while being particular about Feng Shui. Hence, the designer combined professional designing skills with the concepts of Feng Shui into the project to create a mix-and-match style of Japanese, modern, and simple. The overall is decorated with white polished tiles to draw the daylight indoors; meanwhile, the walls and cabinets are painted in white to increase transparency and brightness, giving the overall a refreshing yet heartwarming vibe.
