Production Technology

The turnkey outdoor buildings, Drop sauna, and Drop lodge, are crafted with the same Finnish precision and dedication as our beloved Drop spas and outdoor fires—exemplifying high-quality craftsmanship, premium materials, and meticulous finishing. The Drop Sauna is constructed from CLT, which is one of the most eco-friendly and durable building materials available.

Design Challenge

Hardest part of the process was redoing the prototype until it was perfect.

Project Duration

The project started 2021 in Naantali, Finland and finished in November 2023 at the same place.

Operation Flow

Drop Sauna and Drop Lodge are places for relaxation and ideal places to re-connect with yourself and with the surrounding nature. Minimalistic beauty from Finnish nature.

Research

Drop did a market research of outdoor saunas and found out there was no minimalistic Scandinavian design saunas and therefore wanted to create one.

Inspiration

Drop Sauna and Drop Lodge are places for relaxation and ideal places to re-connect with yourself and with the surrounding nature. The Drop shape was inspired by the minimalistic beauty of Finnish nature and our thousands of lakes.

Project Overview

Drop Sauna and Drop Lodge Sauna and Small Cottage has been a Bronze winner in the Architecture, Building and Structure Design award category in the year 2023 organized by the prestigious A' Design Award & Competition. The Bronze A' Design Award is given to outstanding designs that showcase a high degree of creativity and practicality.
