Upon entering, tiles with fireworks-like patterns welcome residents home. Curves guide a soft transition between the entrance and the living room. In the social area, the marble on the kitchen island and TV wall was chiseled to retain its rugged texture. Natural light reflects off the stone, revealing its unique luster, and symbolizing how life shines after enduring challenges. Each corner has quarter-circle transitions, extending the space with a gentle aura while subtly transforming sightlines to protect privacy.

The space was initially dark, damp, and musty, with walnut tones restricting natural light. The designer adjusted pathways, partitions, and plumbing, updating the facade with light-colored lacquer to enhance brightness. Rounded edges replaced sharp angles, creating a warm atmosphere. To meet the owners' needs, social and private areas were separated. The dining area was transformed into a computer room with glass partitions for entertainment. A voice-controlled system with smart lighting and scene settings improved convenience and comfort.
Good lighting, small space, curve, bright, smart home, technology, safety, green building materials.
Materials: ironwork, wooden cabinets, system cabinets, laminate flooring, glass, floor tiles, trims, marble, stone veneer, stone paint. The marble in the social area differs from typical water-cut surfaces, as it features a chiseled finish that retains the original natural texture and grain while still possessing a unique gloss similar to that of a smooth surface. Additionally, the distinctive pattern of the entrance floor tiles creates a warm and inviting image for welcoming residents' homes.
The biggest challenge was configuring the smart home system. From removing and reconfiguring wiring, every step required meticulous planning with a focus on safety and functionality, consuming considerable time. The curved elements in the social area increased the risk of failure during glass installation, as perfect alignment demanded precise measurements. Additionally, the load-bearing wall, finished with stone paint, required careful application of each layer only after the previous one dried, ensuring a finely textured surface.
The project finished in February 2024 in Taiwan.
The designer blended light tones and modern style elements to create the homeowners' dream residence. The space planning was thoughtfully designed with the residents' needs in mind. The use of different materials and natural patterns added distinctive highlights. The home features a spacious social area and a highly private personal space. What satisfied the homeowners the most was the smart home planning and design, which not only enhanced the convenience of living but also seamlessly integrated the home with their lifestyle.
Stepping into the newlywed couple's haven, a warm palette creates a cozy atmosphere. Soft light enhances comfort, reflecting the couple's temperament. The designer reimagined the once angular space with curves and fresh tones, amplifying natural light. A lacquer-finished wall and curved accents brighten the space. From the entrance, curves bring a gentle aura, thoughtfully designed for the couple's lifestyle. The transparent glass behind the sofa balances social and private areas, blending light, privacy, and feng shui for the perfect sweet home.
The owners are a young newlywed couple. To create a personalized haven for them, the designer based the style on their personalities and incorporated their specific needs. Given their enjoyment of hosting gatherings, the design features warm and light tones, complemented by soft lighting to define different thematic areas. Flowing lines and subtle dividers cleverly separate social spaces from private ones, allowing the couple to host friends while preserving their privacy. Curved elements add a touch of sweetness to their new life together.
