The project employed advanced woodworking techniques to achieve the organic shapes in furniture and structures, reflecting the misty landscapes of Gramado. Sustainable materials, such as regionally sourced wood and recycled PET fabrics, were processed using eco-friendly methods. Cutting-edge lighting technology was integrated for adaptive ambiance, enhancing the guest experience. Local artisans contributed to preserving cultural authenticity, combining craftsmanship with modern production methods for a refined and sustainable result.
The challenge was balancing luxury with sustainability, ensuring quality and authenticity. Integrating recycled materials required innovative approaches, while capturing the mist’s essence demanded precision in translating its fluidity into tangible forms. The result is a cohesive design that respects Gramado’s identity, setting new standards for sustainable and elegant hospitality.
Started in january 2023 in Balneario Camboriu, Brazil and finished in october 2024.
The layout promotes a natural flow, balancing communal and private spaces for interaction and relaxation. Thoughtfully placed furniture and pathways guide movement seamlessly. Eco-conscious materials and adaptive lighting enhance the ambiance, transitioning fluidly from day to night. The organic forms create a harmonious environment, offering comfort, serenity, and a strong connection to the surrounding landscape.
Extensive research into local culture, architecture, and materials informed the design. Sustainability guided material choices, from regional wood to recycled PET fabrics. Lighting and color psychology studies ensured a welcoming atmosphere. The mist’s movement and the region’s topography inspired organic forms, fostering a visual and emotional connection between the hotel’s interiors and Gramado’s natural beauty.
A Jewel in the Mist. Gramado’s cold climate, misty landscapes, and majestic mountains inspired the design. The concept embodies the fluidity of mist, translating its ethereal movement into interior elements. Local architecture provided a foundation for integrating charm and warmth with contemporary aesthetics, creating a tranquil, luxurious space that reflects the region’s serene beauty and cultural richness, ensuring an immersive experience for all guests.
