Production Technology
The design showcases precise gypsum board craftsmanship to achieve seamless curves, reflecting high quality workmanship. The ceiling features custom metal panels, adding a unique aesthetic. The white natural stone flooring highlights the fluid forms, making shadows more visible and enhancing the spatial effect.
Design Challenge
The hardest part of this design activity was balancing two contrasting concepts an art gallery and a functional sales office. We had to present the project model as an art piece while ensuring privacy in the presentation rooms. Achieving this within an open, flowing space with curved elements posed a unique challenge.
Project Duration
Located in Istanbul, the project commenced in April 2024 and was completed in June 2024.
Operation Flow
The showroom layout ensures seamless flow, guiding visitors through an immersive journey. A clear circulation path leads from the reception to key experience zones, highlighting the building model and curated art pieces. The open plan design fosters engagement, while the spider glass facade connects the interior with the city. Carefully selected materials and lighting enhance interaction, making every moment a refined experience.
Research
The research behind the Rams Beyond Sales Office design focused on color and lighting selection, tested to enhance art visibility and ambiance. Traffic analysis ensured optimal exposure, making the showroom facade visible from all directions. The design balances aesthetics with functionality for a seamless experience.
Inspiration
Inspired by Rams Beyond Etro, the sales office is a curated gallery where curves, light, and shadow shape the space. All white surfaces amplify artworks, while a spider glass facade creates a dynamic urban showcase. The metallic gloss ceiling enhances depth, reflecting light smoothly. Flowing forms sculpt light and shadow, creating an engaging spatial experience that ensures visitors feel the project's sophistication.
