Store for Bezmirno Architects
Mens clothing stores are often offering neutral interiors that negatively affect the mood of visitors and therefore reduce the percentage of sales. In order to attract people not only to visit a store, but also to buy products that are presented there, the space should inspire and spreed a good cheer. That is why the design of this shop uses special features inspired by sewing craftsmanship and different details that will attract attention and spread a good mood. The open-space layout that devided into two zones is also designed for the customers freedom during the shopping.

The centerpiece of the store is the installation which was inspired by tailors cushion. It serves not only to draw attention but can also be transformed to change the expositions and to present a new collections. Cabinets along the walls can also adapt to long and short clothing, depending on the needs. The space is conditionally divided into two zones. A common area and a lounge area with its own bar and sofas for anyone who wants to take a short rest from shopping enjoying a good cup of coffee or a glass of whiskey.

In the interior design of the Formal Wear Department we decided to use a dark color scheme and a various materials, including a large number of wood and wooden surfaces, concrete, textile inserts on the walls and furniture and brass pieces, which were used to make installations in the form of a tailors cushion. The main task for us in this project was to create an open space which can also transform and change its characteristics into something else depending on the needs.
The research challenge of this project for Bezmirno Architects team was to create a store based on the main architectural rules but with a little supplementations to them to represent a classic vision of a fashion industry that can also be a modern one.
The project started in June 2019 in Kyiv and finished in October 2019 in Kyiv, and was exhibited at Interior of the Year 2019 in December 2019.
There are several areas in this store. One is where the customers can try on or buy clothes, another one is for those who wants to take a break from shopping and enjoy a great cup of coffee. The interior has transformative functions, and its individual parts may vary depending on the presented collection.
We studied different fashion stores and menswear departments layouts to understand how they work in an open space areas and a human psychology to know how much the customers interact with the interior when it comes to the shopping. Realizing that people get tired of shopping very quickly because store designs are often too bright and stressful, we have come to a restrained deep color scheme, sharp clean lines and decided to use close to nature materials. We also created two different zones so that shopping is no longer associated with monotony and fatigue.
The interior design for Formal Wear Department was inspired by traditional tailoring features. Therefore, the store has some installations, functional and stylistic features that are inherent in the classics of the fashion industry.
