The traditional profession of the locality was pottery which needed to be interpreted and magnified to an international podium.

Project Duration

The project is under construction at site. The design phase started in July 2020 and was delivered by Jan 2021

Operation Flow

the staircase has been designed with an external skin to allow light and ventilation into the staircase.

Research

The site context was studied to come up with the concept of the design. The pottery art of this town was to be highlighted in a modern contemporary manner to communicate to the international audience.

Inspiration

The Residential Building is in the city of a hot and dry Tier 2 Town of India where pottery used to be a traditional profession. Molten High is an expression of a clay container being deformed while in its making and eventually baked to form an artistic expression of the traditional profession of the town.,

Project Overview

Molten High Multi Storey Residential Building has been a Iron winner in the Architecture, Building and Structure Design award category in the year 2020 organized by the prestigious A' Design Award & Competition. The Iron A' Design Award is awarded to good designs that meet the rigorous professional and industrial standards set by the A' Design Awards. This recognition is reserved for works that demonstrate a solid understanding of design principles and show creativity within their execution.
