Hospitality for Zhubo Design CO., LTD.
The design of the building naturally combines the characteristics of terrain and site, and integrates the Yunnan terraces and the surrounding mountains and sea into it, making the whole building feel cordial, natural, harmonious and full of connotation. The linear site characteristics make the design form of the building need to consider the connection with the surrounding environment more. While integrating the landscape into the building naturally, it also makes the building a part of the landscape.

There is a folding and undulating "streamer" between the public space and the private space, which clearly distinguishes the two, and also strengthens the contrast between the unit facade and the large glass curtain wall. The genes of the streamers actually originate from the bending of the building shape on the plane along with the boundary of the site. Architect flipped this bending from the fifth facade to the front facade to activate the horizontally long building appearance.

Every 2 hotel room balconies on the façade form a rectangular cell, which advances and retreats through the unevenness of the frame, so that the adjacent cells have subtle differences in the sunlight projection and the reflected image of the balcony glass. The side wall of the unit frame is made of silver-white metal aluminum plate; the two households in the unit are separated by double-layer frosted glass, and the lights are built-in to obtain a soft and vivid lighting effect at night.
There are two difficulties in the design, the slope finding of the filter layer and the drainage of the gardening surface; the structural slab is flush with the floor in the design, and the 0.5% filter slope is used. The number of gutters seen on the finish side is relatively small, and the integrity of gardening and the smoothness of drainage meet the requirements at the same time.
The project started in 2015 in Shenzhen and finished in 2019.
The plan conforms to the height difference between the north and the south of the site, and the main body of the building is resolved below the urban road elevation. There are only 4 small “pavilions” on the level of the road surface, the distance between them is 40 meters. People passing by the city can still easily see the sea. The roof of the pavilion is composed of folded plates that are cantilevered to the surroundings, which brings an undulating skyline to the horizontal and long building, and also provides a sun-shading resting space for visitors.
Looking back at the building from the pier, it has a humble posture, and the overall color of the facade is elegant but without losing the local agility; from the mountain behind, the green roof of the building and the blue pavilion seem to be hidden in the environment of the mountains and the sea, reflecting respect for nature and people.
The building has a 470-meter-long coastline. Design combines the characteristics of the terrain and the site, and integrates the terraces and the surrounding mountains and sea into it, making the whole building feel natural and harmonious. Due to the long and narrow land, long "walls" will be formed when the buildings are arranged horizontally. Architect hope that the "wall" will not block the city's sea view, but will allow Longcheer Hotel to share this beautiful seascape with the city.
