Each space division and design adhere to energy efficiency, material conservation, low-carbon, and environmental friendliness, with layouts carefully planned to create a sense of spatial hierarchy. A dual ventilation system with passive cooling and ventilation caps is adopted to prevent excessive temperatures during summer. Mechanical ventilation systems are employed to minimize heat loss and meet the ventilation requirement during winter. Moreover, the thermal resistance system is integrated into the ceiling, allowing for the absorption or release of heat, to regulate the indoor temperature.
The curved feature of the entrance foyer is crafted using a single piece of high-quality Fish Belly White marble, which was carefully selected from the raw material in the quarry in Shuitou, Fujian. To ensure a seamless installation, the entire curved surface spanning over 2 meters was meticulously assembled with only two visible joints. Given the challenges associated with installing large-scale stone materials, a precise measurement and a support system were employed. These measures allowed for the flawless installation and seamless integration of the curved marble feature into the overall design.
The project started in the year 2020 in Guangzhou and finished in December 2022.
With a deep understanding and respect for intangible elegance, this design seeks to embody and perpetuate this sense of dignity. It goes beyond creating a space; it becomes a place where life unfolds and a vessel for cultural and spiritual expression. It represents a refined and sensitive appreciation of life, characterized by a casual elegance that withstands the test of time. Here, one can relax, read, enjoy a cup of tea, engage in conversations, and admire the beauty of the surrounding landscape and nature. It exudes freshness, fluidity, and tranquility.
The designer skillfully integrated Chinese Bagua elements into a French-inspired luxurious setting, incorporating simplified designs of Bagua patterns and adding metal rivets to the details. This not only enhanced the overall sense of enclosure in the space but also addressed the client's specific emphasis on Feng Shui considerations. Through the meticulous selection of exquisite soft furnishings and the particular use of delicate material textures, the designer masterfully imbues the living space with a sense of nobility, inviting the discerning homeowner to savor an exceptional sensory experience that embodies their elevated lifestyle and unwavering attitude.
