The long foyer serves as a buffer zone, with a marble wall edged in titanium plating exuding sophistication. Functional yet stylish, built-in shoe cabinets and chairs enhance convenience. The open living and dining areas feature layered grilles, wood flooring, and ambient lighting for a modern, relaxing vibe. Titanium-plated edges highlight the TV wall and beams. In private spaces, the boy's room blends gray and wood, while the master bedroom offers warm tones and a study. The girl's room is neutral yet feminine, with an en-suite bath designed for scenic relaxation.
Modern Casual Design, Spatial Layers, Visual Comfort, Green Building Materials, Low-key Luxury and Humanity.
Materials: marble, wood veneer, special paint, paint, system cabinets, high-pressure laminate, wood flooring, glass, titanium plated metal, wallpaper, and tiles. The color scheme is a blend of warm tones. The designer sought a silent atmosphere like autumn in the earthy colors to balance out the overly warm color palette. Titanium-plated metal trims allow the shimmering details to be felt in the light as one walks by. Luxury does not mean a bright color palette. The project achieves continuity with a consistent color palette and creates a depth of field with a variety of materials.
As the couple were concerned about the size of the space, they were also very strict about the overall planning. The designer, whether in design or construction, focuses on the details while communicating to achieve high quality. 'Focusing on the arrangement and planning of space and providing creativity and ideas that exceed the expectations of the occupants based on their needs are the professional ethics of the designers and their initial planning'. The designer believes that every design will be designed to simulate the actual living experience to truly serve daily life perfectly.
The project finished in March 2023 in Taiwan.
The designer took a wide opening in each area. The end turn from the foyer to the living room and the dining room is made with an extremely wide distance to allow natural light to illuminate the end of the space. Each area is also measured at the largest possible radius to maximize comfort and coziness. The family is extremely happy with the space and has become friends with the designer through this collaboration. The project breaks the one-way relationship of just working together and becomes a cycle of good client-designer relationships.
This new apartment, named 'Low-key Luxury and Humanity,' embraces an autumnal palette. The designer used delicate lines to craft a high-class residence suited for modern living. With ample light and high-floor views, the design seamlessly blends indoor and outdoor elements. A cozy home for a family of four was created, emphasizing layers and a soft visual experience. The foyer, marble wall, and fine lines form a refined structure, while warm wood flooring and layered lighting shape a modern yet relaxed ambiance. Private spaces balance serenity and openness for comfort and function.
The site is a 165.2-square-meter new apartment. Upon the recommendation of the previous owner, the second renovation was entrusted to a designer. The goal was to create a peaceful retreat for the owner, who works in the financial industry, offering a refuge from the chaos of daily life where the family can live in tranquility. The modern and casual design seamlessly integrates the indoors with the outdoors. Sleek lines guide the eye, while the lush greenery outside becomes a natural backdrop. The result perfectly meets the owner's needs, creating a warm and inviting home.
