Natural, Simple, Clean, Bright, Comfortable
Materials contained KD board, log, latex paint, antique bricks, and the realization technologies are built-in kick thread, invisible air conditioning outlet, ceiling shrinkage joint.
The owner hopes to solve the problem that damp, daylighting, space is unreasonable through this transformation, retain original memory and show individual collection in new space, which contains a lot like Chinese style traditional furniture. Meanwhile, the owner did not hope Chinese style traditional furniture to bring depressive feeling.
The project was finished in December 2019 in Yu Bei, Chong Qing, China.
In the new space, the traditional living room has been abandoned and replaced by the calligraphy, painting and tea room that the owner likes to build. At the same time, these two spaces are located on two floors respectively, which can be used for solitude and reception of friends respectively. At the same time, the space for family members to communicate and chat with has been rebuilt.
Change complex for simple, use the most concise design language, design a most comfortable space.
To better showcase the owner's antique collection, the designer chose to highlight the furniture in the simplest hard fitting. The simple, tranquil and natural Wabi-sabi style with Chinese elements are matched with antique furniture that has experienced years, thus forming its own charm and sense of Zen in the space and realizing sublimation and integration with the owner's spiritual world.
