It's a new fire station with a centralized layout. The vertical design makes the station almost as tall as the Huanguang Road. The internal elevation of the station is higher than that of the municipal road, preventing rainwater from flowing into the inside. The layout meets the requirements of setback, sunshine and fire prevention, etc. The pedestrian entrance and exit are at the southwest side. The open areas are mainly at 1F and the mezzanine, making no influence on firemen's daily training.

1. The exterior windows adopt LOW-E energy-efficient glass and thermal mortar. The roofing is paved with 50mm extruded polystyrene boards for thermal insulation. 2. The project mainly uses reinforced concrete frame structure and the base adopts independent column-shaped and bar-shaped waterproof slabs. The roof uses cast-in-situ reinforced concrete slab system with main and secondary beams. Secondary beams are set properly to reduce the plane size of slab avoiding too much material waste.
Building setback: Due to the limited land, it was possible to set back building in accordance with the official requirements. After several times of negotiation with the planning bureau, the design team reached a reasonable bargain: the plot is set back 2.3m on the east, 6.05m on the south, 2.3m on the west and 1.8m on the north. In this way, the fire station and sports fields were reasonably arranged within the limited land.
Starting time: November 10, 2016 Completion time : July 20, 2020 Location: Guangming District, Shenzhen
The parking garage for fire trucks faces the street. The visiting entrance and exit is at the southwest side of the plot. The open areas are at 1F and 2F, the foyer and canteen at 1F. Firemen's preparation rooms are on 2F with a bathroom and a shower room on the west. 3F houses offices and auxiliary rooms and the basement has an emergency storeroom and equipment room. Gardens are set at many places, enriching firemen’s life.
The design must follow the research results of "the 2014 Shenzhen Fire Station Standardization Design Workshop". It shall establish the construction standards of Shenzhen fire stations. The experience of it can also provide reference for domestic fire stations. The design should satisfy basic needs, consider the possibility of the profession development, and embody the considerations of openness and cultural promotion of fire control. It has won a second prize awarded by SUIADR in 2020.
Located in Guangming District, Shenzhen, the project occupies the land of 4,099.16 m2, with the planned Huanguang Road on the west, the planned Nantian Road on the north, Nangen Road on the south and Mobi Antenna Technology (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd. on the east. As a first-class fire house, its gross floor area is 5,039.5 m2 with 3,985 m2 above the ground and 1,054.5 m2 underground. It consists of a three-story office building and a seven-story training tower.
