Residence for YUN CAI Interior Design

This is a 320 square meter residence, located next to the pier. It generally applies the wave-like arc lines and arc elements, to bring the flowing lightsome feeling to the water shore. The indoor furniture design of DJ console inspired by harbor and ship, and cabin door modeling echoes with the visual focus of next to the harbor and on the ship, and contributes to the trendy atmosphere of coastal vacation.

Unique Properties

The entryway is designed with the arc craft of plated titanium plate, to cleverly hide the beam and column, and lead the direction of the moving line smoothly and tactfully. On the other hand, it also uses the extension of the material and light belt, to bring a vast field of vision indoors.In order to realize the seaside banquet and party scene, through the layout adjustment, the dining area is moved to the French window, with a whole natural sea view.

Production Technology

The indoor furniture design of "DJ console inspired by harbor and ship", and "cabin door modeling" echoes with the visual focus of sea shore, and contributes to the vacation mood.

Design Challenge

In order to realize the seaside banquet and party scene, through the layout adjustment, the dining area is moved to the French window, with a whole natural sea view. The original dining area located in the middle of the room turns into a DJ console inspired by harbor and ship. With the flow and rhythm of indoor music, the lights also flicker and change.

Project Duration

This projecc started in 2020 and finished in June 2021 in Taiwan.

Operation Flow

The entrance of the entryway storage room is moved from the kitchen area to the entryway so that the large storage function can be directly and effectively completed when going out or entering, which also meets the public health needs of the epidemic era.

Research

According to the direction of the entryway moving line, an arc is formed in the master bedroom. We add the arc shape in the ceiling to make the special layout become the theme feature, and the dressing room is divided to make the sleeping area have a comfortable square space for use. In detail, it collocates with the dark wood veneer, the marble stone block, and the elements such as indigo cloth and titanium linear, to give a fashionable and delicate atmosphere.

Inspiration

Echoing the outdoor coastal scenery, we take the ocean tidal waves as the theme; cleverly integrate the wave elements and elegant arc lines in the color, moving line, storage, and material details. Through the fine-tuning of the entryway and dining room layout, with the scientific entertainment, situation interactive lighting, and green decoration design, it wonderfully interprets the new generation of coastal holiday life from the modern luxury view of modern fashion and environment friendly.

Project Overview

Digi Wave Residence has been a Bronze winner in the Interior Space and Exhibition Design award category in the year 2022 organized by the prestigious A' Design Award & Competition. The Bronze A' Design Award is given to outstanding designs that showcase a high degree of creativity and practicality. It recognizes the dedication and skill of designers who produce work that stands out for its thoughtful development and innovative use of materials and technology. These designs are acknowledged for their professional execution and potential to influence industry standards positively. Winning this award highlights the designer's ability to blend form and function effectively, offering solutions that enhance people's lives and wellbeing.
