Residential for CY Interior Design
This space, defined by black, gray, and white tones, combines classical and contemporary elements. Designed as both a reception area and a future home for the son, it includes dedicated storage for tea and wine. The layout connects the living, tasting, and dining areas for both daily use and entertaining. A black and white mosaic entry floor leads to a focal wall of iris glass and iron, marking the transition into the main area. In the private quarters, totemic wallpaper introduces subtle variation, creating a balanced and functional living environment.

The father is very fond of baroque style design, but considering the future is the space for his son to use, and he wants to distinguish the style from the current residence. Therefore, different materials are used to express classical lines, and mirror, glass, iron are integrated into the contemporary sense, adding a young and lively atmosphere of the space.

The owner tends to tie the tone of the space with black and gray. Entering the Mosaic tiles of black and white flower totem in the entrance, the end view wall is made of long iris glass and iron pieces. Through the inlaid glass porch to the living area, the whole is interwoven with classical wire panels and contemporary lines, wood grain, glass, mirror and iron pieces of different materials connection, stacked a rich expression of the space, while the choice of dark and luxury stone at the same time adds grace in the delicate. The sleeping area continues the delicate design vocabulary through changing the totem wallpaper to convey a soft atmosphere.
There happens to be a large structural beam passing through the center of the living room, which is visually easy to feel oppression and also easily interfere with the integrity of public space pattern. Therefore, the collage of different materials of wood grain and mirror is used as decoration, which on the one hand echoes the similar material connection of the facade, and also responds to the continuity of hermitage floor, extending to the dining area in a long way to achieve the visual effect of expanding space. And frame the two areas with indirect light, suggesting a complete open public space.
The project started in January 2021 and finished in April 2021 in Taoyuan City.
The entryway details are stacked in a delicate and warm way, and the living room is baroque in style with thread plates and inlaid glass. Mirror, iron construction lines with black and gray color interspersed to bring the momentum of field, and the restaurant area is to interpret the classical lines with glass elements, presenting contemporary romance. In order to meet the preferences of the owners for collection, display cabinets are set up in each block of the space, which meets the interests and needs of the owners. The bedroom focus on the storage function, and the soft sleep field is shaped by a wallpaper pattern.
The TV wall in the living room is selected as a luxury stone to set off the momentum of public domain. Interestingly, the pattern of leopard can be seen in the texture, which is also the reason for the owner to make a quick decision to buy, so he does not want a tangent line on the luxury stone.
Elegant lines and totems weave this space, with black, gray and white tones as the base, as well as the stack of details, reflecting the exquisite grade of a gentleman alone. This space is an expression of fatherly love that will serve as the son's residence in the future, while satisfying the current use as a reception.
