Copper imitated stainless steel – the embodiment of retro feelings. Hainan volcanic rock – the beauty of natural quality. Oak wood veneer – the symbol of arts and humanities. Quality of fabrics soft decoration – spirit of profession. Gray marble – embodiment of noble quality.
Shanghai Art Deco’s spirit design symbol and ceiling detail design are the embodiment of the precision process, each step’s change size is different, fluctuating as like the wave, the pane modeling shown by the simple lines is the memory and impression of old Shanghai, the arrayed ceiling creates the environment space of ritual sense and presents the different spatial feelings.
The project,“The Sea Refuses No Rive — 海纳百川” , locates in central area in Shanghai.Started in October 2017 and finished in September 2018.
The customer visited a Teppanyaki restaurant with tatami in US, bearing in mind constantly, the customer hopes to open a Teppanyaki restaurant in Shanghai, and thus luckily, we got the opportunity to show the design of this dining hall. With our diligent and effective communication, the final presented effect not only satisfies the customer but also creates the ultimate aesthetics of Zen, every detail is the embodiment of the professional spirit.
We show the streamline feeling for the planning of spatial moving lines,hoping to create the expression modes related to the sea.Therefore, the word “sea” is the important origin of the creative idea.The wall with mtoving line and streamline modeling in the aisle is also the extension of conception, the handcraft wall carpet on the wall is also the delicate performance of the traditional handicraft and the beauty of Chinese tradition.
Shanghai - the largest city in China is where I work in,Is a city full of emotions and integrating Chinese and western cultures,During these 22 years when I lived here, I was wandering in the lane and alley with rich Shanghai culture and feeling the development and growth of this city.
The Sea Refuses No River Restaurant has been a Silver winner in the Interior Space and Exhibition Design award category in the year 2019 organized by the prestigious A' Design Award & Competition. The Silver A' Design Award celebrates top-tier designs that embody excellence and innovation. This award acknowledges creations that are not only aesthetically pleasing but also highly functional, reflecting the designer's deep understanding and skill.
