Restaurant for UNIQUE DESIGN
As the ocean image always reminds people of the color blue, the case adopts the warm apricot yellow to interpret the warm color tone based on the name of the seafood hot pot store Warm Hot Pot. The warm yellow curtains thoroughly transform the impression of white spray and blue waves at the harbor and add the brand identity to the commercial space. At the same time, the space records the cityscape of Keelung as the largest harbor in northern Taiwan. The vertical garden on the wall of the dining area serves as extension of the visual feast and natural atmosphere.

As the ocean image always reminds people of the color blue, the designer adopts the warm apricot yellow to interpret the warm color tone based on the name of the seafood hot pot store Warm Hot Pot. At the same time, also set up the unique character of the restaurant space and the separation from the market. On the other hand, according to the scientific theory of color psychology, both red and yellow can stimulate appetite.
Interior, Design, restaurant, taiwan
The hot pot flagship store features the local seafood of Keelung. Therefore, the designer deconstructs the image of waves and represent it with the warm yellow curtain in the arc style on the ceiling. It serves as not only a deep connection to the memory of harbor and ocean but also a brand new aesthetic interpretation and withdrawal. It attempts to twist the impression of white spray and blue waves at the harbor and add the brand identity to the commercial space. At the same time, the space records the cityscape of Keelung as the largest harbor in northern Taiwan.
The hot pot store is located in the northernmost city in Taiwan, Keelung, a harbor city full of ocean culture and rich seafood. Many restaurants here emphasize the freshness of the seafood in dishes. Therefore, how to highlight the flagship store and assist the branding of the store through interior design is a great challenge. Finally, the designer chooses the dark and black colors and support them with the warm yellow and the natural images such as ocean waves, wood patterns, and green plants to shape the style space of both the modern urban and Japanese humanistic situations and at the same time to meet the two major needs of the brand uniqueness and warm comfortable dining atmosphere.
The project started in Aug. 2019 and finished in Sep. 2019 in Taiwan.
From the entrance to the dining area, the floor is paved with the Spanish ceramic tiles in a straight line to guide the flow. The visual extension will lead the customers to walk inward. At the same time, the Spanish ceramic tiles with the splendid totem also suggests the Spanish colonial period of Keelung in the 17th century. Today on Heping Island northeast to Keelung Harbor, there is still the historic building, Fort San Salvador. The modern design smartly combines the time trace of local history. It is not only an interaction in the space flow but also the close connection between the local people and the past history.
For a hot pot store, vegetables are also one of the major dishes. Therefore, the vertical garden on the wall of the dining area serves as extension of the visual feast and natural atmosphere. The lush green vertical garden echoes with fresh green vegetables. The diverse plant species also reflect the biodiversity in Taiwan.
The store is a hot pot flagship store in Keelung as the client expands his business. Compared with his former Taiwanese hot pot store, the client hopes this store to be a totally different experience of interior space where the consumers can feel the image concept of the seafood hot pot brand. Therefore, the design adopts black as one of the major colors in the space to build the grandness of the flagship store.
